Description of the Work Sharp Combo Sharpener WSCMB-I:
The Work Sharp company continues to replenish the model range of its electric sharpeners. This time we will talk about a tool called Combo Sharpener. Its name is fully explained by the fact that the sharpener has two working surfaces with different characteristics and is suitable for different types of cutting edges. The dimensions of the sharpener are quite compact, and it weighs only 545 grams.
Combo Sharpener is an electric sharpener and works from a 220 V network. There is a button on the body to turn it on directly. The manufacturers claim that the sharpening speed with this tool is 1 inch per second, so its use requires some skill. Nevertheless, the sharpening process is made as simple as possible. All knives with an even edge of the blade are sharpened with the help of a belt, the grit of which is 120 units. The set includes another belt of the same type, which is a spare.
Almost along the entire diameter, the belt is covered by a plastic housing of the sharpener, in which there are wedge-shaped notches on both sides of the rotating belt of the abrasive. They allow you to sharpen knives at an angle of 25°. This value is quite universal and is suitable for kitchen knives, EDC models, tourist and fishing knives, as well as many others. At the same time, the user does not need to maintain a constant sharpening angle. The Combo Sharpener is also suitable for working with scissors and some other hand tools, so its use in the household will really be felt.
To work with serreitorny knives, a ceramic rod is used, located horizontally. It can also serve as an alternative to sharpening conventional blades if the user chooses to sharpen the edge manually.

Warranty

A client whose product was purchased in the USA contacted our service center with a request to repair a Work Sharp sharpener. When connecting the model in Ukraine to the power supply network, the sharpener failed. The owner of the product requests a warranty repair. Nevertheless, the manufacturer himself reported that in this situation the warranty does not apply to the sharpener.
In connection with the incident that occurred and in view of the threat of repetition of similar events, we consider it necessary to inform buyers. All products that were purchased outside of Ukraine cannot be subject to warranty service. This is due to the peculiarities of the market, as well as the specifics of electrification in different states.
Currently, in Ukraine, the CIS countries, as well as in many states - members of the European Union, the network voltage standard is 220-230 volts. In a number of countries, the norm is 240 volts. In North American countries, such as the USA and Canada, the norm is accepted at the level of 120-127 volts. Such differences are due to historical traditions and economic considerations. Accordingly, a product that is purchased in the US or another country with a lower accepted voltage level will lose its working condition when connected to the network in a country with a higher accepted voltage level.
