The belts are color-coded, allowing you to quickly and accurately determine the grit and purpose of each abrasive:

• 80 grit (green) – for coarse sharpening of heavily dulled blades;
• 220 grit (brown) – for the primary sharpening stage;
• 6000 grit (purple) – for fine honing and polishing the blade.
