Description of Aligner™ DMT Sharpening Kit (AKFNR):
Feature:
>Description:Today, the market offers a large number of different sharpeners for knives, which allow you to qualitatively correct and sharpen the cutting edge of the blade in compliance with the angle set by the manufacturer. But most models have rather bulky dimensions and considerable weight, so they require a flat table for work, on which they need to be fixed.
Model features:
The American company DMT (Diamond Machining Technology) presented an inexpensive simplified version of the Aligner™ sharpener - Fine Diamond Whetstone™, which is suitable for sharpening knives with a straight blade. The Aligner™ - Fine Diamond Whetstone ™ Kit includes: a blade clamp with devices that allow you to set the desired angle for sharpening, one four-inch fine diamond Whetstone™ whetstone (25 micron, 600 mesh), a folding bar with a platform for fastening the bar. This model is an ideal option for people who monitor the condition of their knives and regularly sharpen them. By correcting the cutting edge on the musata in time, you eliminate the need to restore the correct cutting wedge, which means that there is no need to use coarse and extra-coarse whetstones. It remains only sometimes to maintain the necessary sharpness of the blade, which is successfully handled by a whetstone with a fine grain. The advantages of this set include its compactness (it will not take up much space in the drawer of the kitchen table).
br>- set the required sharpening angle on both sides of the device, most often it is 20°;
- fix the knife in the device (preferably in the middle of the blade);
- insert the metal pin of the rod into the hole of the device;
- put sharpening stone to the base of the blade from the side of the handle;
- holding the device in a hanging position, we drive the diamond whetstone simultaneously in two directions - towards the butt and in the direction of the point.
After 4-5 movements with the whetstone, turn the device over and make the same operations with the other side of the blade.
